Hepatitis A and B Rapid Schedule.

  • In exceptional circumstances in adults, when more rapid protection is required, eg. in commencing health care students or in travellers commencing vaccination within one month or more of departure,  0, 7, 21 day primary schedule may be used with  .
  • When this rapid schedule is used, a fourth dose is recommended 12 months after the first dose to ensure adequate protection, as lower seroprotection rates against hepatitis B were observed after the third dose as compared to the standard 0, 1, 6 month schedule
